This is my new favorite eatery in the Melvindale area. Good food and reasonable prices.

VERY good food for a local cafe by an independent owner. Just had 2 Coney Dogs for lunch and I'm coming back for dinner! They start serving dinner tonight with a brand new menu with many of the same old favorite menu items. What a treat...(mac-n-cheese)! You gotta try the desserts! OMG.... #DELICIOUS

It has been a while since I've had breakfast here and it's still as good as it has always been. It's been remodeled but still has the same comfortable atmosphere and delicious food along with delicious, hot coffee. .

I love this place the food the service the short time for food too arrive. The food tastes great all the waitress are great the prices are great should I take a chance and say it's a great place.

I was surprised with the quality and overall appearance of the restaurant and quality of the meal. I ordered strawberry stuffed French toast, hot and delicious. Great little place to get a quick inexpensive bite that is delicious as well

good is fair not busy like it used to

Used to come here for lunch with co-workers years ago. Decided to try Oakwood County Cafe again tonight. Still very good, food,service, and prices. Will be back

I had stopped coming to the former "Oakwood Cafe", because as awesome as the people were, the food was just not quality anymore. The new owners have REALLY improved this place.As a foodie, I'm very picky. I go to tons of restaurants, both chains and family owned/smaller. The chopped steak here is incredible. The corned beef is in the top 5 in the area for sure.Give this place a try. Very good.

My favorite breakfast! 3 eggs over medium, slab of ham, 2 rashers of bacon, 2 link sausages, hash browns & white toast with a side of sausage .YUM! Made to order and perfection I would be remiss if I didn't mention the friendly and efficient wait staff. This has to be one of my all time favorite places.

Great little local spot! We had breakfast but the lunch menu looked good too. My husband and I had more breakfast than we could eat for less than $14. Cant beat that 😀

Wow! I love these omelettes! I go with the meat lovers and add some chicken to it. Freaky fast service and good food. Coffee is meh.

Only been a couple times but the service, cleanliness, quality/cost (in that order) combined makes me give this place a 5 star def. Not a one visit or regretful place to eat like so many nowadays so thank you.

This is our favorite place to have breakfast. Quiet and friendly and the food is great.

Breakfast was ok. Service kind of sucked. I love when my coffee is empty half through breakfast and not offered more until they bring the bill and take my plate... Good thing I don't live in the area and probably won't be back.

You have to try this resturant. Very friendly and fast service. I ordered a Rubin sandwich and I loved it. Very reasonable pricing as well.

Humble and cozy place, the coffees are really tasty, the service is fast and the staff is kind.

The food is really good the coleslaw has an awesome flavor but needs to be shredded smaller so it's easier to eat. The steak that I ordered was outstanding. I wish that they had more business because they do have a really good menu I think that they are just located in a very slow part of town.

I recommend stopping and eating at Oakwood Cafe. Lisa was our waitress and she was the best!!! My Family and I are vaca and I enjoy mom and pops places. Food was fast and great, price was low. Clean place. 5 stars all the way around!

Seriously one of the best Coney Island/diners in the area. Consistent food and friendly service. Don't waste your time with Leo's, Leon's, Ram's Horn, or any of those other places. The only thing those aces have over Oakwood is that some are 24 hours and they're everywhere.
